Rhoda Lopez is a cultural gem, who had done Filipinos proud carving a niche in the realm of theatre in WA. For many years, Rhoda has been unselfish in lending her musical and terpsichorean artistry to the Perth Filipino community. Following the tradition of her stellar performances in Miss Saigon and Madam Piaf, Rhoda continues to blaze new trails. Two years ago, Rhoda switched to try her hand in another theatre, joining DiFilippo Marionette on tour.

Di Filippo Marionette was created by Remo Di Filippo in 2012 after two years of construction and research into the world of the marionette, at the Taller Pepe Otal in Barcelona. Rhoda Lopez joined the company in 2014. The company has toured in professional circuits in more than ten countries, and hopes to continue sharing the world with their hand crafted marionettes, and sharing their marionettes with the world.
In the collaborative endeavour, Hanging By A Thread, Rhoda, Remo, and the marionettes steal our hearts with their exquisite and skilful artistry. DiFilippo Marionette featured at the 2016 Perth Fringe World festival and the Adelaide Fringe Festival during the Australian summer, and then was a big hit at the Fremantle Street Arts Festival over the Easter long Weekend.
