As we go to press, WA’s West Coast Eagles are ‘enjoying the ride,” as Coach Adam Simpson has urged them. The Eagles are basking in their recent billing as AFL (Australian Football League) premiership favourites, along with the Fremantle Dockers.
The Dockers and the Eagles are one-two on the ladder at the end of the regular season. Hosting the qualifying finals on home grounds over the second weekend of September, the two WA teams won their qualifying finals matches, to galvanise their slots in the preliminary finals.
