Consular Mobile Missionfor ePassport Processing In Perth, 3-7 July 2017

A consular mobile mission from Canberra is confirmed to visit Perth from 3-7 July 2017 to process ePassport applications lodged by WA-based Filipinos.

The mobile mission will be hosted by the Filipino Australian Club of Perth Inc (FACPI). The 5-day Passport processing service will be administered as follows:

Dates: Monday, 3rd July to
Friday, 7th July 2017
Time: 8am to 5pm
Venue: Main Hall, Facpi Clubhouse
1 Catherine Street, Bedford WA 6052

The Mobile Mission is also expected to administer the oaths of allegiance to Filipino Australians in Perth who have opted to reacquire their Philippine citizenship under Republic Act No. 9225 or the Citizenship Retention and Reacquisition Act of 2003.

The Philippine Embassy has also previously announced that all Mobile Passport Missions of the Embassy will provide a venue for Overseas Filipinos to register for the 2019 Philippine National Elections. The resumption of The registration of qualified overseas Filipinos for purposes of the 2019 National Election will run until 30 September 2018. All citizens of the Philippines, who are abroad or will be abroad during the thirty (30) day voting period, at least eighteen (18) years of age on the day of the elections and not otherwise disqualified by law, may register.

FACPI has hosted the Passport Processing Missions to Perth since 2013, with volunteers from the Club’s general membership and its working committees, as well as cooperating organisations, stepping up to assist the Canberra teams toward an orderly passport lodgement processing of applications received by Canberra before the cut-off dates and scheduled for appointments on specific dates.

Some 800 applications are expected to be serviced during the 5-day mission. The community is advised that, due to limited data capture equipment, walkin applicants cannot be accommodated. However, consular inquiries may be entertained, subject to time availability of the consular team.
