Fr JOSEPH ‘JOEY’ FALLER VISIT TO PERTH

by Teresita Cue Tiu

Perth was blessed with the presence of Father Joseph ‘Joey’ Faller from Lucban Quezon for two nights.

He was here for his healing Ministry, a combination of mass, homily, pray-overs and exposition of the Blessed Sacrament.

It was all attended by about eight hundred people from the Holy Family Church in Como and other parishes.

Father Joey talked about his almost fatal accident in April 1994 that paralysed his two fingers (now his right hand looks like that of the Sto. Niño and of the hands of the risen, and victorious Christ.). He calls it ‘The Kamay ni Hesus’, Hand of Jesus. The accident pushed him to accept his gift of healing. Since then, he has carried the hands of the Lord to help and has reportedly healed hundreds of people. His Lucban Quezon church boasts of about 4-10,000 people a week. He has life sized statues of the Stations of the Cross, Noah’s Ark, our blessed Mother, the Garden of Eden, and various saints. There is a 25 ft. high statue of our Lord Jesus, not unlike that of Rio, Brazil.

His talks were very enlightening and humorous. He has the gift of riveting everyone’s attention.

Most attendees were ‘slain’ by the Holy Spirit during the healing prayer and at the culmination, he surprised us… a gift from the blessed Mother that left us well and truly stunned!!!

He asked for a shower of ‘glitters’ gold, silver, blue, red, green all having their corresponding meanings. After the prayer, many were astounded to see glitters on their hands!!! How awesome is that?

The Sto. Padre Pio Choir of the Holy Family Church conducted by pianist Rosemary Jose was a beautiful blend of voices. Her daughter Cheska Jose, has a voice so powerful and angelic, she brought everyone to tears with her rendition of the “Ave Maria”.

The mass was concelebrated by Archbishop Emeritus Barry James Hickey. It was a 4-hour long celebration that left everyone spirit-filled and full of wonder and awe at the manifestations of miracles before their very eyes!!

Ted Cue, the President of the Damayang Filipino Inc, did the opening and closing remarks culminating in a fellowship and a chance to have a personal encounter with Father Joey.

The Damayang Filipino Incorporated of Perth, Sto. Padre Pio Prayer Group of Como and other prayer groups sponsored the memorable event. Surely a night to remember.
