Allow us, first of all, to acknowledge all who sent in kind messages on the launching of The Pinoy Strayan. They have been very encouraging, a much-needed boost in the arm.
In the same way, we appreciate those who made comments towards improving the layout and content. We will take your recommendations on board, and synch them into our overall editorial plan.
We have been asked if we are producing an online version of magazine, and the quick answer is ‘Yes.’ The webpage is now under construction. We hope this is a piece of good news to those who favour us by taking advertising space in the magazine: additional advertising mileage online. We have also created a social media page for The Pinoy Strayan, and will post relevant photos and information while we are between issues. Again, this translates to more exposure for the advertisers.
We continue to encourage the clubs and organisations serving the Filipino Australian community in WA to take advantage of our offer to use the community section of our magazine for announcements and activities updates. We also have space for family and people news, and we welcome the sharing of migrant life experiences, stories, milestones, and achievements. The Pinoy Strayan is meant to be a community mosaic. There is space for everyone to shine their colour and light. —
